Data Visualisation with R
You are on the course page for Data Visualisation, taught in the Master 2 programme in Economics at Aix Marseille School of Economics (Aix-Marseille Université). This course is intended for students enrolled in the Data, Analysis, Decisions and Economic Evaluation track track.
The slides (only a few chapters are available for now):
By the end of the course, students will be able to:
- Prepare and transform data for visual analysis.
- Create clear and effective visualisations using R.
- Explore distributions and compare groups.
- Produce maps and interactive visualisations.
- Communicate results through reproducible reports and interactive dashboards.
This course introduces the principles and tools of data visualisation using R. Students will learn how to prepare, explore, and communicate data effectively through static and interactive visualisations, maps, reports, and dashboards.
Logistics
The course consists of 8 classes, each lasting 3 hours.
Prerequisites
Students are expected to have a basic knowledge of R and fundamental programming concepts. However, no advanced prior experience is required. A dedicated session will be devoted to refreshing and consolidating the key concepts covered in the Introduction to Programming for Data Analysis course taken in the previous year.
